True Passion Steppers
is pleased to offer "ORIGINAL" Chicago-Style Steppin'
Classes. "Chicago Style Steppin" is an
African-American cultural dance form that has a
unique appeal; combining the elegance of ballroom
dancing with timing and other elements of various
hand or social dances with style and grace. The True
Passion Steppers Instruction team have a passion and
love for this dance. It is our goal to share this
wonderful experience by teaching it to individuals
in a classroom atmosphere which includes; fun,
laughter, friendships, a healthy workout, but most
of all "The True Art of Steppin."
True Passion Steppers have a vast amount of
knowledge and experience in this elegant dance. We
share this knowledge and experience through first
teaching the foundation of the dance called the
"Basics." We specialize in teaching both the 6 and 8
count methods. After the foundation is established,
we move into turns and combinations, leading our
students into the next level; where we encourage
creativity and developing 'a style of their own.'
Our proven method of steppin' instruction has been
validated through the pride we have for many of our
students that have taken it to the stage, competing
and winning in several regional and national steppin'
competitions. We can also proudly boast that our
Instructors have won or placed in several Steppin'
Competitions in Atlanta. They have also won in
Chicago, which is known as the 'Steppin' Capitol of
the world.” Several Instructors were honored and
recognized on the Chicago's National Stepper's
Ranking System.
Once a student has successfully learned and embraced
all phases of the dance, Steppin' becomes a part of
their lifestyle; consuming them with a feeling of
always wanting more and more. This sentiment is
called "A Stepper's First Love."
True Passion Steppers invite and welcome you to join
and learn this elegant dance. Our instructional
experience has taught us that a new student should
be ready to hit the dance floor within approximately
8 to 10 weeks of "consistent" class participation
along with "practicing" every day between classes.
